The Cliff House at Pikes Peak
Built in 1873, The Cliff House at Pikes Peak has been greeting guests for over 125 years. This inn was originally a stop on a stagecoach route and welcomed many trappers, hunters, and miners. Today, there are 54 rooms and luxury suites. Each one will transport guests back to the late 1800s with the unique decor. Some rooms offer features such as steam showers, spa tubs for two, and gas fireplaces.
Many rooms also have interesting features such as domed ceilings, unique angles, even a soaring ceiling that makes it feel like you are in a teepee. The Cliff House Dining Room and the Red Mountain Bar and Grill are on site and guests can easily walk to the Penny Arcade, shops, and restaurants in downtown Manitou.
Days Inn by Wyndham Manitou Springs
Take advantage of free WiFi, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a flat-screen television in each room in this fairly new hotel. There is also a pool and fitness center, free breakfast, and a desk that is staffed 24 hours a day.
The rooms are clean, there are laundry facilities, and there is also a community room with a few games on it. This hotel is not right downtown, but only a little over a mile away. There is free parking and it is close to Schryver Park and the aquatics center.

Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast
The Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast is pretty much as close as you can get to the heart of Manitou Springs. This is an adult-only retreat. It is great for celebrating an anniversary, birthday, holiday, or girls weekend. Built in 1886, all rooms are comfortable and uniquely decorated with Victorian charm and have a private bath.

Rooms have a refrigerator and the hotel is in a great spot, right across from Schryver Park. It is about a one-mile walk to downtown Manitou Springs. It is a great spot if you are interested in being away from the main tourist area, but close enough to walk there.

Rodeway Inn Manitou Springs is another basic option situated on Manitou Ave. near Highway 24. This is a great home base for getting to downtown Manitou Springs and other adventures in the area. Enjoy the seasonal outdoor pool as well as free continental breakfast, laundry, free Wifi, and large rooms that are clean with comfortable beds.
Park Row Lodge
We will call the Park Row Lodge “vintage.” It may not look like much from my picture, but the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, there is ample parking out front, and the rooms have balconies that look out onto the creek.
There is also a grassy area near the creek that guests are invited to hang out at. Watch for wildlife and enjoy the sound of the water. The Park Row Lodge is located on Manitou Ave. about a mile and a half from downtown Manitou Springs.
Manitou Inn and Suites at Pikes Peak
Another option close to downtown, Manitou Inn and Suites at Pikes Peak is situated across from Schryver Park and the Manitou Springs Aquatics and Fitness Center. Jump into the seasonal outdoor pool, take advantage of free parking, and sit on the sun terrace. There are a barbecue area and laundry facilities as well as a continental breakfast.
Town-N-Country Cottages
If you want to get out of town and into the woods, consider Town-N-Country Cottages. Stay in one of ten adobe-style cottages that sit on three acres along a mountain stream. Enjoy the beautiful gardens at Agate Hill Inn Cottages. This property spans one acre and has three different cottages to choose from. The Garden Cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of six people with a full kitchen. The Hummingbird Cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of four people with a kitchenette.

The picture is of SunWater Spa, these two places are connected but separate facilities. Guests at SunMountain Center can enjoy a complimentary two-hour soaking pass at SunWater Spa, which is a short distance away.
SunMountain Center consists of rooms in two historic homes located on six acres of terraced gardens with walking and meditation trails, gorgeous views, and biodynamic farms. Breakfast is included, there are hot tubs on the property, and guests can add an Atman massage to their stay. It is a good choice for anyone hoping to rejuvenate, meditate, and replenish.
Adobe Inn at Cascade
The Adobe Inn at Cascade is located just a few miles up Highway 24 from Manitou Springs. It is easy to get from here to Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, and Manitou Springs. It is nestled in the woods in the small mountain community of Cascade. It is very peaceful and offers unique adobe walls with Native American and Spanish Folk Art decorations.
There are three southwestern style guest suites available. The kiva fireplaces illuminated with candles make for a nice romantic stay. No meals are served here, but rooms do include a small refrigerator and there is complimentary tea, hot chocolate, and coffee.
The Timber Lodge
The Timber Lodge is technically in Old Colorado City, but it is just down the road from the sign welcoming visitors to Manitou Springs. Guests can walk to hiking trails in Garden of the Gods and in Red Rock Open Space. The Timber Lodge is located among many other hotels, but this property is unique because it is a park-like environment that spans three acres.
Enjoy Fountain Creek running along with the property, grassy areas, gravel driveways, picnic tables, and barbecues. Choose from a separate cabin or a duplex cabin, that can sleep between two and six people. Some have kitchenettes and some do not, but all include bedding and a private bath. The Timber Lodge is only open seasonally.
Mecca Motel
Also in Old Colorado City but close to Manitou Springs, the Mecca Motel offers a standard room with one queen-size bed, a double room with two queen-size beds, or a king-size bed. The owners are terrific people and the hotel offers a heated swimming pool and hot tub, picnic tables, WiFi, coffee, air conditioning, and cable television. The rooms are clean and elegantly decorated. The Mecca Motel is only open seasonally, hence the fence and “Closed for the Season” sign. It is a hopping place during the summer.
Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort
This funky old building is the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. It is located in Old Colorado City, close to Manitou Springs. There are many choices for units, including those with kitchens, those that can accommodate a large family, and some rooms that allow pets. Take advantage of the tasty continental breakfast each day between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., an outdoor patio, picnic area, pavilion, fire pits, and grills.
Also, take a dip in the newly renovated swimming pool, and play corn hole and other outdoor games. There are vintage cruiser bikes for guest use and mountain bikes can be rented to ride around town. This is also a locally owned and operated family business.
